T Dog Tuesday

Heya peeps!

Hope you had a rad weekend! I had to play host again to my furry friends W and A. Their Mum and her hot man had a saucy weekend at the Rendezvous in Scarbs. So of course I had to share my toys, my food and my Mum (WTF?!?) with them. So not cool.

As you can see, A spent all her time in front of the TV, drinking cider.

W just stalked my Mum all weekend (that's is so my game!)

So on Sunday we hit up Angove Street for some gossip and shopping with Aunty K. Check out her hot shoes from Asos! Aren't they redic?!?

Here I am waiting patiently outside Bonnie and Clyde while Aunty K tries to snap up a bargain. I can appreciate a sale. I really am amazing.

Hallow Tallow

Sister K got me onto this fabulous brand of Australian swimwear called Tallow, created by Ali Mandalis and Shannon Clynes. There are a range of other products focussed around surfing, including wetsuits, apparel and accessories.

Can I just say, the bikini's and one piece bathers are simply divine! Sister K bought the white and pastel one piece below at the end of last year, and the lady is still raving about them. She said that being made for surfing means that they are lined well and not super stretchy, so keep this in mind when purchasing. The great thing is that on the website you can see what surf conditions each piece is suitable for, so there will be no Nipplegate incidents!

Here are some of my favourites.

So I may have accidently purchased the black one piece with the stars for an upcoming holiday in Bali. To. Die. For.

Happy shopping!

Lara and Love....

So it may or may not be true that I follow Lara Bingle on Instagram, but even if I did, I don't care. She may not be everybody's cup of tea, but the woman is gorgeous and a money making machine!

Anyhoo, I spotted Miss Bingle sporting a very cool 'Love Script Ring' a couple of days ago so I though I would do a little research into this uber cool piece.

These rings are made by many and are available at every price point (even Diva makes them!). I love the simplicity of the script, but still different enough to stand out. Below are a few that caught my eye.

Yay or nay?

Baby love...

This pic was taken on Baby O's last night in Perth. He is now jetsetting through Singapore and Bangkok before heading back to Montreal.
I miss him.

T Dog Tuesday

Hi peeps!

It's been a hot, humid couple of days. This really is not working for my hair.

The only thing left to do is go SWIMMING!

Sculpture by the glorious Sea

It was another beautiful sunny day in P-Town yesterday and friends J, K and I headed to the beautiful Cottesloe Beach to check out Sculpture by the Sea.

As you can see, there were an array of various artistic delights, and again, the sculptors had outdone themselves. It is amazing what these talented people are able to do! My favourites would definitely have to be the skeleton and the icebergs in the buckets.

Doesn't Cottesloe Beach look glorious?

Up, up and away...

The time has come for my Mexican-Canadian-Australian family to go back home to Montreal. The time has flown by and I am very sad that I won't be able to see them all the time. Little O has grown and changed so much in the six weeks that they were here, and I will miss seeing him grow up.

Being so far away from Perth, I am not sure when I will see my sister E and her husband O again, so Skype will have to suffice for now (at least until human teleportation is legalised). I have really enjoyed having them around.

Safe travels!

Building outwards and onwards

It seems like forever ago that A and I purchased our little shoebox house which I am totally still in love with. But the time has come to look at expanding our humble abode (so it can be ready for more little people - that's my plan anyway!)

So we have had a couple of renovation people over to take a look and give us a rough extimate of the $$$ we will be up for. We have decided to go with Kerry from Dale Alcock Home Improvements and she will be helping us get closer to our first dream home. We only plan on being here for about 5 to 7 years, but hopefully these renovations will provide us with a good sale price as a stepping stone to our second dream home, closer to the beach.

It is hard deciding what you do and don't want in your home when building or renovating, but these are my must haves.

Stacker doors leading out to an entertaining deck (lots of glass and lots of light).

A bright white kitchen with an island bench.

A big bath!

Jarrah floorboards throughout.

I am sure I will add many more 'must haves' to the list, and I am sure a gazillion changes will occur with the design, but we are aiming for a more open plan, 3 bedroom 2 bathroom home (for the kids!)

Green goodness

So I have been going a little green crazy lately. Being the year of the 'dirty thirty', friends K, J and I have vowed to look our best when the clock strikes midnight.

I hit up colleague E for a good recipe and the pics above are some of the products (no they have not been scraped off a pond!). I have been trying combinations of:
  • Kale
  • Beetroot
  • Citrus fruit (usually orange)
  • Berries
  • 1/2 Banana
  • Celery
  • Carrot
With the additions of:
  • Magnesium powder
  • Silica compound
  • Psyllium husk
  • Chlorophyll (that stuff is nasty!)
To be honest, I am yet to find one that I love, but I am definitely improving! And I must admit, they are a great way to get more veges into my diet.

In light of this change (and other issues...there are many!) I decided to also visit a naturopath as recommended by J, Sam Botica, from Perth Natural Medicine Clinic. AH-MAY-ZING! The woman is a godsend. I have been feeling a bit stressed and overwhelmed lately and she has given me a couple of different herbs to try and help me out. I have only been on them for a few days but will let you know how they go.

I am also trying to up the water and drop the coffee/alcohol intake (this will be in reverse on the weekend with what friend L and I have planned!).

Bring on 30!

Too much to do!

Sorry for the lack of blog action peeps - work and life have been insane.

This is where I would rather be right now. Hope this can tide you over until I get some time up my sleeve to write something decent.

Would you or wouldn't you?

Last week my work colleagues and I were chatting about various "Would you or wouldn't you?"scenarios, so I thought I would post some as food for thought.

  • Would you buy a house that someone had been murdered in?
  • What if it was a real bargain?
  • Would you stop for a distressed person on the road if you were alone in your car at night?
  • Would you keep a substantial amount of money if you found it?
  • Would you hand in a wallet/phone if you found it in a taxi?
  • Would you intervene if you saw someone being assaulted/abused?
  • Would you buy pepper spray?
  • Would you dob in a shoplifter if you saw them stealing?
I would like to think that I could do the right thing, but sometimes it isn't always black and white.

I am sure there are plenty more scenarios that you can think of, and it does make for a good conversation starter!

Away with the Fam...

I have taken today off work and I am off like a bride's nightie. We are headed down to my favourite place ever!

Sister E, Big O and Baby O have been in Melbourne for a week so it will be great to have some family time again before they head back to Canadia in mid March.

I hope you all have a great long weekend!
