The angry note...

Hmmm...

I am not happy.

It all started when I moved my car yesterday morning so that A could drive him Mum to the airport. I moved the car to our front verge, and upon getting out of said car I saw what looked like a note folded up. Of course being the spy demon I am, I grabbed the note in earnest, thinking I could be unravelling the start of something very sinister.

This is what I found.

Now there are a few possible scenarios.

1. This letter is not directed at me and Mr T, and simply happen to land on my verge by chance due to wind/cars/cyclists/runners/garbage truck etc.

2. This letter is not directed at me and Mr T, but rather a nearby hound which may have sounded like it was in our yard.

3. This letter IS directed at me and Mr T, but for a one off event where the author was particularly hungover and had a short fuse.

4. This letter IS directed at me and Mr T, and he is the serial barker on our street - you know, the dog that no one likes!

As I am not 100% on any of the above as the letter was not in my letterbox, I am not sure what to do, and am feeling a bit yuk. The last thing that I want is to piss off the neighbours and for T to receive the poison steak!

I think to be on the safe side I will leave T inside for a few days if A and I go out, and maybe install a baby gate so I don't end up with this situation again.

Any advice?

UPDATE: Prior to publishing I found out that the note was not directed at T dog but another nearby pooch. I am still unimpressed - why can't people come and speak to you, face to face. Neighbours are supposed to have each other's backs...

T Dog Tuesday

So peeps.

I wanted to let you in on a little secret. Some of you may think that I have developed my
good looks with age. But no. I have always been really really good looking.

Take a look.

I know it's unfair. So many good genes in one little pooch.

Color Run + hangover = not happy.

Last weekend was a very busy couple of days in the land of H. I completely overcommitted and my Saturday was scheduled down to the minute!

Sunday on the other hand was meant to involve lying in the airconditioning watching back to back episodes of The Real Housewives of Whatever, until I realised that I had promised friend L that I would walk the Color Run with her, bright and early!

It was a glorious day in P Town, but as you can see, I was not feeling so glorious.
I lay in the sun, wallowing in self pity until the gang arrived. Four Nurofens wore off very quickly and before too long I was in hot, sweaty, loud, over crowded hell.
Here is me post run - very happy that it was over, and that I could now go and get some McMedicine.
The event itself was very well organised, great for families and I am sure was a heap of fun for those not in my condition. I would highly recommend (without the three bottles of champagne the night before)!

A very proud moment

In 2009 A and I were at a crossroads as to what to do with our lives. We were living in Sydney (with A's parents...) but I was desperate to come back to the west. I scored a job in mining and jumped on the plane back home quick smart.

Being the love of his life, naturally A had to follow me, but wasn't sure which way he wanted his career to go. After much umming and arring, eventually he enrolled in a Masters of Logistics and Supply Chain Management (it's a mouthful I know!).

After three years of study, including hundreds of hours of lectures and tutorials, and countless dreaded group assignments (every student's nightmare) - he has finished!

And as icing on the cake, today we are celebrating A receiving the award for being the top of his class. I am very proud!

Post #100 celebrated with a wedding!

Well folks I can’t believe that time has flown this fast and we are already 100 posts down. I have enjoyed the ride and I hope you have too. Hopefully the posts are getting better and are still interesting and I hope to keep on blogging.

So what better way to celebrate such a milestone than with the gorgeous wedding of two lovely people, L and S.

On Saturday evening friend J and I dolled ourselves up (Zimmermann and Manning Cartell – BOOM!) and headed with sister-friend L and hubby S to Matilda Bay Restaurant.

At this point I have to admit something. Something quite huge. I wore heels. Argh – I know! It goes against everything I stand for, but I felt it was necessary due to the nature of the event. Apologies.

Anyhoo, back to the story. Bride L looked stunning as she walked down the aisle after her sister and bridesmaid A. The ceremony was so beautiful, overlooking the Swan River at sunset. Divine.

The nights festivities included drinking bubbles, eating glorious food and world domination on the dance floor! Let’s just say it was not pretty the next day.

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog. I welcome any comments or suggestions and hope
that you continue to enjoy ‘Girl in the Flat Shoes’ (sometimes in heels).

T Dog Tuesday

Peeps!

How are you? I have been super busy doing my thang.

Recently I have been socialising a lot - meeting new friends and really cementing my long standing relationships. I have hosted besties A and W on several occasions and we have had a ball. I think they may get slightly bored and sick of my hypoactivity, but eh, how can they not love this!

I have also made two new friends! S and T. They are very small creatures, slightly angry but I am sure I can wear them down with my charm. We hit up their local with our Mums recently and I really feel that we will be great friends.

I am becoming more and more popular as days go by. Everyone wants a piece of me.
