T Dog Tuesday

My Dad works away so often it is just me and my Mum rockin' it at home. But when my Dad is back we hang out all the time. We do heaps of stuff together like gardening and going to the park, by my favourite time is when we have 'man cuddles' on the couch.

This normally happens when we are watching NFL on Foxtel. My Dad watches it for the game, I watch it for the cheerleaders. They are so talented.

We usually end up falling asleep.

Even when my Dad goes out, I watch TV by myself, usually with some snacks.

Life is grand.

Oktoberfest...expectations v. reality

On Saturday J, K and I donned our traditional German dresses (some more skanky than others - online shopping fail) and headed to Oktoberfest in the Garden for an afternoon of beer and dancing. Here we are waiting for the bus (trying to look inconspicuous).

Gorgeous!
We arrived at the Supreme Court Gardens about 30 minutes after the event started to be faced with a massive queue. We were still buzzing after a nice lunch of salad and vodka, but this was soon killed after an hour long wait in the line. Blaahhhhh!
Once inside we skipped jollily to get a beer, stein in hand. Well that thought was quickly crushed by another hour long wait in the line just to get a drink.

However, after we managed to get a few beers into us the day turned out to be quite fun. We drank, laughed, ate roast beef rolls and K managed to find a nice man friend for the evening.

It was a shame about the poor set up and organisation, and I definitely won't go again, but I loved dressing up and hanging with my girlfriends.

What did you get up to?

Here comes the bride(s)

Wedding season is definitely here!
A girlfriend from uni, E, got married to her long time beau C last Saturday. I went to the church to wish them well (I love a wedding!). This me and a group of uni friends on the day.

So the dilemma comes with what to wear?!? You can see here I have my lovely sherbert Cue skirt on with a white silk top from Seed and a chunky rose gold necklace from Sportsgirl. As I was not going to the ceremony, I thought that this was an appropriate day time outfit.
Friend L, in the navy next to the groom is getting married in November and I am keen to get something 'wow'. I love these dresses from Zimmermann.

Do you think it is ok to wear black to a wedding? I know I wouldn't be offended (I'd be more offended with white), but some people can still be a bit funny about these things. I feel that black won't date, as this will be an investment piece.
I'll let you know how I go - this style could look hideous on me and I'll be back at square one!

Dreaming of a holiday...

Lately I have been feeling a bit flat. Not about anything in particular as I know I have wonderful friends, a great family and a job that I like. But I have been dreaming of a holiday to have a goal, something to look forward to.

As I have never been to Europe, I mentioned to A that this is where I would like to go for my 30th (next year...eeek!). Being A, he said 'Yeah, yeah', but nothing eventuated. Then suddenly he mentioned to my Dad that he wanted to go around the world next year - what a great idea A! So the question is, where do we go? A has been before and said I could choose wherever I wanted. I am thinking four weeks is the rough timeframe. Here is what I have been dreaming of.

Santorini

The rest of the Greek Islands

Paris

Vineyards in France

New York of course!
Having free reign may be a dream, but is also so hard as I know I can't see everything in four weeks. I'll keep you updated as I plan - feel free to flick me any suggestions!

T Dog Tuesday

Ladies (and gents, but more importantly, ladies) I've missed you! Sorry for my absence last week, I have been super busy!

After a ripper weekend tearing through the South West at my family's farm in Dunsborough I have been resting up to find myself again.

But then last Thursday a bomb dropped. In the form of Rocco. This little fluff ball is a friend of my Dad's. I have to put up with him for 10 WHOLE DAYS! Hmm. To be honest, I like wrestling and playing with Rocco, as long as he remembers that I am number one. Here he is sitting on my Mum's lap.

Not cool. I'll have to take him down a few pegs.

Hopefully he will learn his place soon.

Talk soon peeps!

PS - How hot is my new hair do. I'm bringing the mullet back!

Smelling the roses

Sorry for the lack of communication peeps. Last week was a blur of work, training and dog sitting. Being a short week it went super fast, and now before I have had a chance to blink it is Monday morning. Ho hum.

So to brighten up this moment, here are some snaps of one of my favourite trends - rose gold. I love the mixture of girliness and metallics, and this colour works so well with pastels.

These pics are from Sportsgirl, Mimco and Tumblr.

Happy shopping!

Succumbing to the lilac

The Tuesday after a long weekend is always slightly blue. I had a fabulous weekend in Dunsborough with sister K, her BFF K and BF K (too many K's!), and my school friend J.

We had a fabulous time consuming our way around the Margaret River wine region and I am now needing a break to recover!

But after my recent posts on colourful clothing, I thought I would let you know that I have succumbed to the pastel demin trend and purchased this hot little pair of Nobody jeans!

J always says, "Don't overspend on a trend", so I hope these get a lot of wear.

Hope everyone had a great Tuesday!
