T Dog Tuesday

Team!

Hope everyone is grand - I sure as hell am! I am just scraping in with this post as my Mum has decided to venture off to Melbourne and leave me to fend for our blog. All. By. Myself.

Selfish.

Lucky I am a wizz on the computer so after a very busy few days, here I am.

On the weekend we went to my FAVOURITE place on earth. My great grandparents property near Dunsborough is just amaze. Of course being the great pooch I am, I invited Tessie to come with me for a great four days of jam packed fun!!

We played ball at the crack of dawn with Dad (personally I would have preferred a sleep in, but I had to take advantage of the rare opportunity when he is not reading the paper, watching boring ABC or having another cup of coffee before lunch time).

We went to the amazing Yallingup dog beach and I only got dumped by a wave once - score! I am definitely becoming more ocean aware in my old age. Of course I didn't let the big splashes ruin my hair.

We spent the rest of the weekend watching Dexter on TV (Dad is beyond obsessed?!?) but Tessie blocked the screen a few times - her ears are slightly beyond enormous.

Dad and I also rocked the BBQ as we are real men! (Don't tell anyone that I told you it took him over 10 minutes to connect up the gas bottle. Amateur).

Boom!

Nobu = the bomb diggity!

So last Friday friends L, C and I headed out on one of our regularly scheduled catch up dinners to Nobu. I was particularly excited as I love Japanese food and Nobu has been on my must try list since it opened last year.

We decided to start with a drink at Rockpool, another fab restaurant at the Crown Casino in Perth, and with these cocktails we were not disappointed!

Shortly afterwards we headed over to Nobu and were greeted by a lovely service team. Our waitress was really attentive, friendly and was able to help our not so refined culinary skills by giving us great tips on what to order, how to eat it and particularly how to even translate some (ok most) of the dishes! Here is the Beef Carpaccio which was divine. All of the food was delicious (some dishes with a South American influence), and we tried to make sure that we went out of our comfort zones - C even selected eel to finish the evening with!

Even though it would appear to be quite a pricey restaurant, Nobu definitely gives you value for money. After four courses, wine and sake we were definitely full of amazing food that was fresh, well cooked (or raw!) and impeccably presented.

Next time it is french! Can you say escargot?!?

T Dog Tuesday

Hi peeps!

Just got my post up in time! I have been SUPER busy as per usual.

Here I am looking amazing at the park with Mum. I am pooped after a good 5 minutes of chasing my beloved ball.

I am off to the salon on Saturday so next week I will show you some snaps of my new do. I am in the business of creating the trends so no doubt I will look amaze.

Xtending our Barres

Friends J, K and I attend Pilates classes at Perth Pilates Studio. We usually just attend the Pilates Mat classes which use your own bodyweight to strengthen our muscles and tone up the wobbly bits - and trust me, there are plenty of those!

On Monday, J and I attended an Xtend Barre class, just to mix things up. The class is a fast-paced, 55 minute full body workout that fuses dance, Pilates and sculpting exercises at the ballet barre. It was intense! It is quite different to the mat class we normally take, it is much quicker, has music, and involves a lot more movement. But is was really really fun - and the class went fast! I would like to think that we look like the ladies below, but as there were not mirrors (thank God!) I will just assume that we do.

J and I signed up quick smart for next Monday night. Definitely a class to try!

T Dog Tuesday

Team!

Hope everyone has been swell. I have been very busy over the last week, particularly with showing my new lady friend a good time. As you can see below, she wants me.

I have been spending lots of time with Dad as he has been on his days off. It is not as fun as hanging with Mum, but I'm trying to boost his confidence. Here I am waiting, and waiting, and then waiting some more for him to play, but he just doesn't seem to be getting the message.
But the best part has been the man cuddles that have every morning! He really is so lucky to have me!

Baby O update

So the littlest love of my life has finally touched down in his home town of Montreal. In tribute to the wharf workers in his fine city, Baby O has come up with this delightful ensemble. I think that he has done tremendously well considering he is only just over four months old. The block colouring with a hint of nautical is genius! He will be a top model yet.

Isn't he divine?

Easter Craziness

Sorry I have been a bad blogger lately! Times have been cray busy with work and the Easter long weekend.

A man and I received the first draft plans for our renovations on Thursday which was very exciting. We decided to hit a few bathroom and kitchen shops for inspiration, and we did surprisingly well with agreeing on various colours and designs. Can I just say that I never realised how many options there are!

Friday saw me hosting Supper Club with friends J, K and T. Everyone brought a dish, with the only rule being that you have to make something you haven't made before. Here is my attempt at an asparagus salad and lamb with feta and eggplant from Donna Hay's Fresh and Light cookbook.

On a trip to the Barossa Valley last March with K and J, I entered a competition and won this magnum of delicious Shiraz. It was absolutely amazing!

Saturday and Sunday involved gathering with family and friends on several occassions, eating and drinking waaaayyy too much, resulting in most of Monday being spent doing nothing more than this.

Now after five days off I am back in the slammer, dreaming of my next getaway!
