A moment in time...



It is with great sadness that I am writing this. In the wee hours of yesterday morning, the world lost one of it's finest. 

Nanna has always been a shining star. A true lady, she carried herself with poise and grace. I know most people feel that they have scored the number one Nanna, and I was no exception. She never judged and always supported. She was so genuinely interested in everything her grandchildren were up to. She loved to be involved. She loved to know.

She is my Grandad's true love. 

I will miss you Nanna. Thank you for everything.

Tea time...

With Christmas fast approaching there has been a flurry of gift buying, including several Secret Santa presents. For my girlfriends at work we decide on a 'T' theme as our daily ritual is to meet in the lunch room for a cuppa at 10am. Every. Single. Day.

 

Secret Santa gifts usually have a small budget, and I cannot stand buying someone trinkety junk. So I opted for a simple tea cup from Typo.

 

 

I was inspired by these lovely tea cups from Pigeonhole (amazing store!) that I bought for my walk buddies J, K and S.

 

 

They are super cute heart shaped tea cups. Divine.

What has been seen cannot be unseen...

My nephew O is 4 weeks today! He has clearly mastered the suprised look! I can't wait to meet him in the new year.

 

Today is the last day of work for 2012 - I am beyond excited (and shattered!). I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and New Year. Mine will be full of eating (too much), drinking (way too much) and hanging out with family. I CAN'T WAIT!

Loving Travelsmart

I recently took part in a Travelsmart challenge at work, which aims to increase the number of trips employees take on either public transport, by walking or cycling, or through car pooling.

 

 

I managed to fulfill my promise and cycled once a week for 12 weeks. I really should do it more considering how close I live to work, but I do love the comforts and freedom of having my car with me.

 

But I am loving the new Travelsmart campaign. Very retro (and slightly cheeky).

I had a rad weekend down south with my Mum and Dad, and BFF Tess. We spent all our time swimming at the beach, playing in the paddock and lying in the sun. Loved every moment!

Christmas Explosion

Isn't it funny how as a kid you CANNOT WAIT to get your Christmas tree up. It means that Santa is one step closer to rocking up on your doorstep, gifts in hand.

 

Now this is simply not the case. Mum has to bribe us with food and drinks just to come over and put up the family tree.

 

Every year we try and cull the ever expanding decoration collection, and every year we fail.

We Are Handsome...Yes We Are!

Every summer I am torn as to what bathing suit to buy. I will have my heart set on one style, and then see a bunch of glamazons at the beach and completely change my mind.

 

Red, blue, polka dots? There are so so so many options!

 

I have been hunting for a while and nothing has struck a chord...that was until I hit up Brownies in Claremont Quarter.

 

I found this vintage insipred digital print bikini by We Are Handsome.

 

I am keen on them but a bit nervous about wearing them on the beach. Hopefully once I get a slight tan it won't be such a shock!
