T Dog Tuesday
I have been in the wars. I am not feeling well after being attacked by milions of grass seeds, causing an enormous infected wound in my foot.
I nearly died.
I am not over dramatic.

Spring in the Valley
Today I am swanning around the Swan Valley, a wine region 40 minutes out of Perth. Work friends have organised a bus of about 40 people, and it could get slightly messy.
See you on the other side.

Lark
I was on the hunt for a funky tin to hold coffee and I had heard about Lark, a
six year old family run gift and homewares store based in Daylesford, a historic country town in the forest,
close to Melbourne. They specialise in a mix of trendy homewares, garden wares and accessories. I could spend hours browsing their online store!
I selected these tins - aren't they so adorable?
I love the retro look.
Here is a snippet of what else is available.
The sugar tin and the Scotty dog lamp are so cool!
Go on, check it out. You know you want to!

Beautiful bicycles
Cycling has certainly increased in popularity around Perth over the past few years. We have some beautiful bike paths and as wrokplaces become more Travelsmart, it is becoming commuters mode of choice.
Last year I jumped on the bicycle bandwagon and purchased a Giant Cross City 4W 2012 from Cyclebuzz. I love the colour!
It may not be the trendiest of bikes, but I find that it is a dream to ride. I used to work in Subiaco so was clocking up 30km a day, but now I use it more for exploring the city with A.
I do get bike envy when I see girls leisurely riding around on their trendy bikes on a Sunday morning with fresh flowers and a french stick in their basket. The only thing that bothers me is they never seem to wear a helmet (what helmet would you wear with a bike like this??) and this scares me. But here are some cool options.

Jellybean Bikes allow you to custom design your own bike, right down to the colours of the seat and gears. Very cool!
For those who can afford to splurge, how about this Chanel bike for a measley $17,000?
Why not.

T Dog Tuesday
Hi everyone!
I am finally recovering from a big weekend. The weather was amazing and very conducive for frolicking in the great outdoors!
On Friday night I did manage to eat a bee and my face blew up, resembling someone with elephantitis. What a debacle! I was no better by Saturday morning, but after a quick trip to the vet with my Dad and a shot of antihistamine, I was on the road to recovery. I did try to eat another bee that day - clearly I'm not a fast learner.
On Saturday afternoon we ventured out to Tessie's house - one of my favourite places in the world! I went swimming in the big pool, played ball and rolled in the long grass. Take a look....
Such fun!
Sunday was much more low key, fluffing around the house with Dad as Mum went to drink wine with her friends. Here I am reading the Sunday paper - Sandra Sully is such a dream boat. Phew!
I hope you all had a great weekend too.

I heart Ecoya
I have always thought of myself as 'not a candle person'. I can't stand little trinkety candle shops, and loathe those generic Secret Santa presents when your SS buys you soap or candles as they clearly don't know you.
But all of this changed when my girlfriends N and V bought me a Sweet Pea and Jasmine Ecoya candle.
It smells amazing!
Ecoya is a New South Wales company based in Botany Bay. They have just opened their first store on Queens Street in Sydney's Woollahra. Ecoya specialises in natural, hand crafted soy candles. They do not contain the traditional petroleum based parrafin, and even their wicks are made from pure lead-free cotton. All of their hand and body care products use the finest botanical natural bases. Here is a glimpse of some of the other products on offer.
They are a wonderful gift and can be found online, or in store at several stocklists, including Bed Bath N' Table or Cottage Garden Flowers and Gifts in Subiaco.
Enjoy.

Elroy ink. is the bomb
I spotted an article on Elroy ink. in the latest Marie Claire mag. Ken Lawson (Elroy) is a Geelong based designer who focusses on simple, abstract, hand drawn designs.

It's getting hot in here...
With two 27 degree days this weekend, it's safe to say summer is on it's way big time! I cannot wait for the balmy evenings, drinking wine in the backyard with the BBQ going (A cooking of course!). It is such a magical time of year and with the hype and lead up to Christmas, I am getting excited!
Here are my plans for the upcoming months.
Utterly fabulous.

A Grand Challenge
Grand Designs and Grand Designs Australia are two of my and A's favourite shows. I love living through another persons architectural dream, from the tiny seed of an idea through to the reality of seeing the house finally finished.
There are plenty of houses that personally are not to my liking, but what impresses me the most, is the 100% commitment that these people have put into getting their ultimate home. Some are rediculously excessive and out of this world - a nightclub in your basement (?!?), but the creativity and courage has to be commended.
Here are just a few snaps of some Grand Designs Australia.
How amazing is the last one! Could you imagine yourself living there? Season three started last night on the Lifestyle Channel so there is plenty more where these came from.
Have you ever renovated or built from scratch? I hope that when A and I renovate it's not too traumatic!
Happy Friday!

Swimwear sorted
So when perusing David Jones on Sunday with friend L in search of a show stopper dress for the wedding, I stumbled across this Zimmermann bandeau bikini.
I am in love. I like the idea of combining two contrasting colours to make the swimsuit.
I love a bandeau, although it is not the best for someone bigger than an A cup. But maybe at the end of Michelle Bridges 12wbt I will have no boobs.
Am I setting myself up for a summer of boob flashing?

PS - Went for the purple dress for the wedding - love!
